Due to inclement weather, Selmaville CCSD 10 will not be in session on Tuesday, January 27. Instead, we will be utilizing an E-Learning Day.
Students will be expected to complete assigned learning activities from home. Teachers will share instructions, assignments, and expectations through their usual communication platforms. Attendance will be based on participation and completion of assigned work.
Please be sure your child has access to their learning materials and checks for messages from their teacher. If you have questions or experience any issues, please reach out to your child’s teacher directly.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Please stay safe.
Sincerely,
Brittany Boldt

Tonight's Board Meeting Postponed
Due to inclement weather, the Board of Education meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed. The meeting will be rescheduled for a later date, which will be announced as soon as it is finalized. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we transition to an eLearning Day for tomorrow January 26th, I want to ensure all families understand the expectations for student participation. Students are required to complete all assigned eLearning work and submit it on the next in-person school day.
Please note:
Completed eLearning assignments must be turned in when students return to school.
If eLearning work is not submitted upon return, the day may be recorded as an unexcused absence.
Incomplete work may need to be completed during PE, Specials, or recess time.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping learning consistent, even when we can’t be in the building. Your support helps maintain academic progress and accountability for our students.
If you have any questions about assignments or submission procedures, please contact your child’s teacher.

In Family & Consumer Science, we’re learning that a needle and a budget both stretch farther than you think! From sewing on a button to making $20 last at the store, these basics build confidence. And starting in junior high matters — it gives kids the chance to practice, laugh at mistakes, and grow these skills early, so they’re ready for bigger challenges later.

Our students in the Gifted program made their own mini golf course challenge. They calculated angles and made it possible to get a hole- in- one with simple math! Well, it may be simple for them, but it was a challenge for some of the staff. Mrs. Boldt and Mrs. Consolino were impressed and thankful to be invited to give it a try.

We have a new attendance program. Each week the class with the highest percentage of students present for the week will recieve the traveling "Best Weekly Attendance" trophy. This week, our second grade class was the winner of 98% attendance for the week. Congratulations 2nd grade! They will be rewareded not only with the trophy for a week, but also a surprise game during breakfast one morning next week.

The kindergarteners made applesauce today! They loved helping mix and mash the apples and, of course, taste-testing the finished product
