We have some exciting days coming up at Selmaville! Thursday, May 9 is be the yellow day. Be The Yellow was created by Adam Peterson in 2014 to honor a beloved teacher who lost her battle to cancer and impacted his life positively with her kind spirit. More than 35 states and 8 countries celebrate the Yellow Day campaign which promotes kindness and reminds us to seek out people who make our days brighter or more yellow! Monday, May 13 is wear purple day! Not only is our school color purple but being a purple person has a special meaning as well. Purple people are kind and hardworking, they love to laugh, exercise their curiosity and be inspired. Let's make our school purple in more ways than one!

London Robbers was presented a certificate of appreciation by board president Brant Blackburn, vice president Tom Tate and Salem Fire Chief Jim Cerny. London acted quickly by running to the fire department and reporting flames at Steve’s Antiques which helped avert what could have been a major fire. We are proud of her bravery and thank her for this.

It’s spring and that means it’s time to clean off those dusty old bookshelves! If you have any books appropriate for Pre-K through 8th grade, we would love to take them off your hands. On April 18th and 19th, we will be having a Recycle Book Fair. Books will be sold for 25 cents each. The money raised will be used to purchase supplies for our Accelerated Reader Celebration Day. Thank you in advance for your donations!!! 📚
